After the last Sun Age, Hunab Ka, Mayan Sun God banished the Death Lords to Xibalba. When the waters receded they plotted their return.
The one thing the Mayans feared most was the end of time. In the hopes of preventing this, they first transferred the observed cycles from the heavens into linear progressions of time, so that time could only stop when the cycles were complete.
The Popol Vuh consists of astronomical and prophetical calculations, which the Mayans did in exacting degree. Explaining these calculations is the story of how the universe came to be created, the failed creations of humanity, the conquest of death, the successful creation of humanity, the weakening of the powers of humanity, the dispersal of humanity.
The gods try four times to create humans and failed each time, so they destroy their creations. In 2012 Eye of the Shaman we must all ask ourselves how we’ve done this time as the 4th Sun Age comes to a close….if we’ve passed the test and make it to the next Sun Age.

The trailer for my original 2012 screenplay 2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN is up and running. I tend to do things in a totally quirky way so it made a lot of sense to create a trailer to promote the story ”live.”
Crack in our planet’s defenses against the solar wind.

In 2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN I create a premise that powerful geomagnetic storms will wreak havoc with our electronically driven technology thus rendering our society’s functionality useless. It’s not as far feteched as one might think.
Last night the sun’s magnetic field near Earth tipped south, opening a crack in our planet’s defenses against the solar wind. Charged particles poured in, fueling a brief but beautiful display of aurora borealis, just like in the original screenplay 2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN

Evidence Mounts
The next solar cycle is going to be a big one.
Solar cycle 24, due to peak in 2010 or 2011 “looks like its going to be one of the most intense cycles since record-keeping began almost 400 years ago,” says solar physicist David Hathaway of the Marshall Space Flight Center.
He and colleague Robert Wilson presented this conclusion last week at the American Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco. Their forecast is based on historical records of geomagnetic storms.Hathaway explains: “When a gust of solar wind hits Earth’s magnetic field, the impact causes the magnetic field to shake. If it shakes hard enough, we call it a geomagnetic storm.”
In the extreme, these storms cause power outages and make compass needles swing in the wrong direction. Auroras are a beautiful side-effect.
Hathaway and Wilson looked at records of geomagnetic activity stretching back almost 150 years and noticed something useful:. “The amount of geomagnetic activity now tells us what the solar cycle is going to be like 6 to 8 years in the future,” says Hathaway. A picture is worth a thousand words:

On the Road to Napping

Napping, a way of life, not a city in China
Napping is a way of life. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’ve gotten quite good at it over the years, and I am going to share my proven and time tested napping tips and techniques with you as time goes by.
Napping is the future of triathlon sports
A triathlon is an endurance sports event consisting of swimming, cycling and running over various distances.
In most modern triathlons, these events are placed back-to-back in immediate sequence and a competitor’s official time includes the time required to “transition” between the individual legs of the race, including any time necessary for changing clothes and shoes. As a result, proficiency in swimming, cycling, and running alone is not sufficient to guarantee a triathlete a competitive time: trained triathletes have learned to race each stage in a way that preserves their energy and endurance for subsequent stages.
Napping has all the qualities of an Olympic sport.
Many people consider themselves marathon runners, joggers, hikers, bikers or some such thing other thingee. I’m a long distance napper, and very proud of this accomplishment. I’d like to see napping get the same kind of respect other competitive sports get.
Like any athlete, no matter what the sport, I train rigorously on a strict regimen. Dring plenty of water, watch between meal treats and nap, nap, nap.
The secret to great napping is napping
Great nappers are born to nap! Over the years I’ve refined my style and built stamina for distance and speed. You’re probably wondering, and I don’t blame you one bit, how did it all begin.
Glad you asked.
My Personal Napping Memoirs
My napping career began freshman year at Boston University. We freshman theatre design majors slaved long hours at the theatre on Commonwealth Ave. When I wasn’t hanging lights, building or painting scenery for credit, I worked at local theatres and clubs.
It began in Theatre History.
All credit is due to a wonderful old gentleman named Elliott Norton, my Theatre History professor. Mr. Norton was considered to be the “Dean of American Theatre Critics” and was thought of by many to be the last of the great regional reviewers who had considerable sway over Broadway bound fare in its hay day.
Elliot wrote for many Boston Papers over the years, most defunct or merged. I think he wrote for The Boston Herald American, now The Boston Herald, when I took his class. He was an elegant man, way too impeccably dressed for the bell-bottom 70’s, and much too talkative for 7 AM.
I sat in back by a steam radiator. At about 7:03 A.M when Elliot started opining on Greek Tragedies or talked about deus ex machina, or elaborated on William Shakespeare, I was set. I had all the ingredients for a great nap at my fingertips:
a physical need coupled with an overwhelming desire infused with motivation.
I know of no other sport that is worthier to be considered for inclusion in the Olympics…or at the very least the X games.
Napping is the perfect sport to bring our world together!
Napping is a full participation sport anyone and everyone can enjoy. Um, there are no costly accessories, yet, no special footwear, yet, and no restrictions about age, size, or weight to participate. Don’t need FCC approval, it’s tax exempt, doesn’t require a permit or business license, no special skill set is required, no costly 4 year college degrees that will saddle you with debt for a long, long time, there are absolutely no exclusions, and it’s approved by doctors every where! What other sport can make this boast?
In a word, none.
Moving in a Rural Way

My life changed last year.
Like many I had gotten into more debt that I could deal with. The unthhinkable occurred. The once ”unsinkable” California real eastate marked sunk. I had gotten into a real pickle with my house. I owed more than it was worth.
Business was, um, sucking, I blew through my scant savings, prudent reserve and equity. None of my options were looking too pretty.
I was basically f&*ked.
As a rescuer of animals I had a fur family. Two dogs, two cats. All with “issues”. My boy dog LUKE, was so freaked out when I rescued him, he wouldn’t come out of my room for the first year and a half I had him. As many freiends and delivery people who’ve visited, or even tried to walk in front of the house, will tell you – Luke barks. BIG. I couldn’t see me in an apartment, no matter how sound proof it was.
By the time December rolled around, the house was at auction and I had a feeling I was going to be living in an SUV. I was broke.
My friend Jill knew someone who had a cozy cabin. Cozy, in real estate jargon means thimble sized in the real world.
One room.
400 square feet.
I gulped real hard. Here I was, a guy with 2 dogs and 2 cats, I lived in a three room house with a complete office for EyeLight, The Bumper Foundation my Los Angeles dog rescue and dog adoption foundation, and the Harold B. Rhodes Music Foundation – 3 computers, 2 printers, a plotter, scanners. Then there was the cubic tons of books. Spiritual book, Mayan refrence books for 2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN, dog books for BUMPER and LUKE SEARCH AND RESCUE DOG HERO
Then there was the garage. It was so packed full of EYELIGHT stuff it was impossible to walk in. A video camera package, lights and sound, grip gear, stands, for. Did I say anything about the furniture or art yet?
I think by now the picture is rather well illuminated: 10 tons of stuff and a zip-loc bag sized cabin. It was quite a yard sale.
When I moved to Pasadena in 2000, it was stil relatively quiet. When I left it was booming. Builders building buildings where ever they can. A posh new shopping mall. Multi-storey buildings springing up all over town. If you can’t build out, gonna have to build up…just like the traffic.
I loved living in Pasadena except during Rose Bowl Parade season rolled around the calendar. When campers and suvs from all over the midwest, or Texas jamed the streets, hogged all the parking, and created unteneable waits at most retaurants…. not that I was eating out that much at the time, but sheesh just the same… it gets crowded.
Now I was getting ready to leave that life behind and venture out into the rural conuty. Leaving a city fried life for a countryfied life. I had just one question: Where is Kagel Canyon?

After the Rains.
Maya Cosmology

Venus brings love in our culture…to the Maya, it brought war.
In 2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN this story is woven into the plot as the catalyst that disrupts JAGUAR PAW’S assention to the throne, destroys the Mayan ”kingdom of light”, and propels the calendar into the hands of the DEATH LORDS.
FACT:
The Maya developed a recyclable Venus calendar called the DRESDEN CODEX that was accurate to one day in 500 years and a table of eclipses that still functions today. They also accurately calculated the solar year out to four decimal places, a did it at a time Europe was in the Dark Ages.
THE DRESDEN CODEX

One of the worldwide three existing mayan codices to survive the book burnings by the Spanish clergy in 1521 turned up in Dresden in 1739. How it got to Vienna, is unknown – also part of the story in 2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN. It surfaces in World War II Germany - and is liberated – by the Russians.

At the collapse of the Soviet Union, an agent of our government brings it to America. Since then it has been the property of the state fiercely guarded by a DEATH LORD reborn in our time, and now head of clandestine government agency.
But perhaps the greatest living gift the Mayan have given to our world is the consciousness of the 26,000 year the Precessional Cycle. 2012 marks the end the Great Cycle. The Great Cycle is a 5,125 year period of time that began August 13, 3114 in the Gregorian/Julian calendar . December 21, 2012 marks a moment in cosmology when our Solar System passes across the galactic center.
The Maya woke us from our collective slumbering into consciousness.
Opening Image from 2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN.

King Pakal of Palenque knows his days on earth are coming to an end. It is now up to his son KAN BALAM ( Jaguar Paw) to protect the calendar from falling into evil hands. He who has the calendar, rules time.
2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN
Published February 10, 2008 2012 Leave a CommentTags: 2012, 2012 eye of the shaman, focused thinking, people awakening, shaman, spiritual transformation, thoughts become things
We are at a critical juncture in the timeline of our world. Conscious beings around the globe know what’s at stake and appreciate the implications of the diverse predictions regarding this key date.
No matter what your individual world view is, everyone must acknowledge by now we are in an age of great transformation. No matter what actually occurs to humanity on December 21, 2012, the message in 2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN is that the outcome of will be anything we can collectively imagine. This collective energy, this focused thinking will bring spiritual transformation and physical transformation. All across our planet, all people are awakening.
Words are thoughts – thoughts become things.
We cannot ignore change. It will happen with us or without us. 2012 is energizing earth’s artists, authors, scientists and psychics. Ask yourself, “When have we been so inspired to work as one people before directing our energy at the same thing? The Berlin Wall, Pro Peace Marches. We have seen glimpses of this great energy. We know it works. In 2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN we actually must harness this energy together if we are to save our own lives – and that of earth. The theme of 2012 Eye of the Shaman is that our future will be what we think it to be. Sounds easy. Everyone wants peace, abundance, and prosperity… right? Wrong.
There are those among us who do not want change. Some people have a vested interest in maintaining the current social, political, and economic structure no matter if it no longer serves us or no matter if it’s broken and can’t be fixed.
As long as people worship idols, the false gods of money, power, and prestige war, greed, and disease, the Death Lords- are not far behind.
EVERYTHING CHANGES. To everything there is a season. 2012 Eye of the Shaman paints a picture of our world a few scant years from today. Geomagnetic storms reek havoc and world the old systems are broken.
The unknown can be very a scary concept. That is why people fear change or our past haunts us, paralyzes us and prevents us from moving forward. That past may be rife with events we wish didn’t happen. “What if’s” begin to appear. The past is gone. It only can bind you if you let it…so don’t.
What you say empowers your thought . Choose your words wisely.
Free your mind and your ass will follow
George Clinton
There is nothing we can physically do about the past however we can shift the energy around past events with positive conscious thinking right now.
Mayan Calendar is about Cycles of Change.
We have become a society so dependent on our external technological gadgets that when they fail we’re left in a quandary. If you were one of the 740,000 of the Verizon’s 3 million California phone customers you lost voice mail last week due to a “computer glitch” < source: Mercury News> you know what I mean.
144,000 for spiritual transformation
144,000 is the number of souls it takes to create transformation.
Revelation 7:2-4. “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.”
When 144,000 people are gathered at the same place at the same time and are focused in thought on the same thing. That thing changes.
On August 16,1987, over 144,000 people, exceeding the prophetical required number, the world’s first mass, global ceremony took place at several sacred sites to greet the dawn with peace, harmony, prayer, dance and meditation. It was called the HARMONIC CONVERGENCE.
This event was said to have initiated a 25-year cycle of transition time when subtle currents would be released, accelerated with more intensified work in the world. It meant that all countries would step out of their localities and step into global and planetary involvement. In a higher realm, it meant that mankind was expanding its Illumined Consciousness.
From the brilliant scholarship of epigrapher Linda Schele (from her book, “Maya Cosmos”), we now have a better understanding of the Maya creation story, further enhanced and beautifully represented in the celestial sphere. The Maya set the date of the fifth, or current, creation at August 13, 3114 BCE. At this point in time, the Earth was a place of twilight, and Itzam-Yeh found his place of power atop the Wakah-Chan, the Mayan World Tree and provided his own light for the world.
What happens now is up to us.
We are the prophecy we have been waiting for.
